Westhoughton litter pickers thanked for their efforts

It was lovely to meet some our wonderful volunteers, who litter pick around Westhoughton, at the thank you event last Saturday at St Bartholomew’s Church.

This was an event organised by Westhoughton Town Councillors.

Our talented mayor, Councillor Deirdre McGeown, made a cake in the shape of a cow’s head, which everyone admired but couldn’t bear to cut! So it was donated to Woodlands Care Home for the residents to enjoy.

Instead all our guests ate the buns, made by councillors Linda Maher and Alison Jackson, with cups of tea and coffee.
