Anger as Labour say YES to 1,100 houses at Hulton Estate

Bolton Labour bosses are back to their usual tricks after backing 1,100 houses to be built in Westhoughton.

Meanwhile Labour leader Keir Starmer has said his party will give the green light to housing developments, even if they are opposed by residents.

The fantasy plans, which propose bringing the Ryder Cup to the Hulton Estate, would cause untold chaos on our congested roads and would destroy our greenbelt.

Meanwhile, our local health services are creeking under the pressure, with residents telling Liberal Democrat councillor Deirdre McGeown of their 23 hour wait for an ambulance, more than 24 hours waiting at A&E and a 4 week wait for a simple GP appointment.

Westhoughton North councillor Arthur Price said: “We can’t trust Bolton’s Labour councillors to protect our precious greenbelt here in Westhoughton because it’s too attractive to them to get even more council tax revenue from the town. We are already paying £25 million to Bolton, so the more houses they built, the more money will flow into the council’s coffers.”

Lib Dems Deirdre McGeown and Arthur Price remain opposed to the Hulton Estate plans.
