No money left for Central Park after Tories waste £900k on footpaths

There is no money left to improve Westhoughton’s Central Park after Conservative councillors wasted £900,000 on Market Street footpaths.
Residents have reacted in anger to the shocking waste of money to replace footpaths that were fine.
Now there is no money left from the Westhoughton town centre regeneration fund to do any big improvements to Central Park.
Previously there were ideas of improving the park with a new cafe and better facilities, but these plans are now dead in the water.
Westhoughton Liberal Democrat councillor David Wilkinson said that “in fact the Tories have very little idea of what Westhoughton needs”.
